MOCHA, LIMITED LIABILITY CO. ("we", "us") sets out below how we handle users' information in the iPhone app "WeightTracker" (shown on your device as "Weight Log"; the "App"). The App is a lifelog app for recording your weight every day and checking your progress toward a goal.
The App handles the following information that you enter:
Health-related information such as weight and body fat % is limited to what you type into the App yourself. The App does not connect to Apple's Health app (HealthKit) and neither reads nor writes any Health data.
On your device
The information above is stored on your device. If you delete the App, the data on your device is lost.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you turn on iCloud sync, your records and profile are synced through Apple's iCloud (your own private CloudKit database) with your other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. This storage is managed by Apple, and we cannot view or retrieve its contents. You can turn iCloud sync on or off in the App's Settings (the change takes effect after restarting the App). Even if you are not signed in to iCloud or syncing is unavailable, the App works with the records on your device.
Home screen widgets
To show your weight and other information in widgets, some information (today's weight, target weight, streak days, etc.) is kept in a shared on-device area (App Group) between the App and the widget. It is never sent externally. When "Privacy mode" is on, your actual weight is hidden on the Home screen and in widgets.
To remind you to record, the App uses "local notifications" that work entirely on your device. Notifications are shown only with your permission, and only at the time and on the weekdays you set. We do not use push notifications through our servers. You can change notification permission at any time in the Settings app of your device.
Using the App requires an auto-renewing subscription (a free trial may be offered) or a one-time purchase. We use the subscription management service "RevenueCat" (RevenueCat, Inc.) to check your purchase status.
To check and restore your purchases, an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription status, and technical information about your device and OS are sent to RevenueCat. We are not given information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address. For how RevenueCat handles information, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Payment information such as credit card details is managed by Apple; neither we nor the App obtain it.
The App does not collect the following:
The App includes no third-party services for serving ads or analyzing usage.
Except where required by law, we do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties. However, as described in Section 5, information is sent to RevenueCat to manage your purchase status.
If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.
We may change this policy as needed. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
